Is Social Media actually a boon or a curse for Celebrities?

#SocialMedia a tool, a source which has changed the course of the entire world, Facebook, Tweet, Snapchat, these are the new trends, and there were times when people used to try hard swinging their fingers around the old styled telephones to get connected. How Time Flies ! Social Media has taken almost everyone in its skin, the people who loathe it, even they know how powerful and reachable the Internet now has become. But as they say like any particular thing, it has its own set of benefits and disadvantages, Social Media does connect you to a lot of people, especially for celebrities, It's a great way to stay connected with fans, but on the flip side, it's also a medium to feed trolls, people who enjoying bashing people out of no reason simply because it gives them pleasure. And many celebrities have fallen into that bogus trap, however sometimes things go out of the hand and  take such an unexpected turn which would leave you shocked. So the question that remains at the end - Is social media really a boon or a curse?

Anushka Sharma recently got busted for a spelling error on her tweet she made to give her tribute to Dr. Abdul Kalam, while we understand that she should have been asked to instead take her tweet down and correct it, The trolls took it far behind and started making jokes of her knowledge and education. We could only say that Anushka saw it Coming.

Neha Dhupia made a Tweet about Mumbai coming to a stand still and criticized the government for not paying attention to the real issues and instead focusing on 'Selfies' schemes. While some people did come to her support. The way she was trolled back down and forth was a bit too much. She was asked to first justify her position as a citizen by doing sleazy movies like 'Julie' come on now.

Shruti Seth the popular TV actress criticized the 'selfie' with Daughters scheme and in no time the trolls made sure that Shruti had to face the brunt. She didn't even get half the support from her fans than the bitterness she received. So much so, that she had to respond back with an open letter. The two minutes of fame brought Shruti into limelight. All we can say !

But the most shocking incident happened was with 'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Say' Actress Vishakha Singh. Vishakha posted a photo on facebook to which a person replied back on her body saying 'great boobs' Vishakha gave out to him, putting his comment into shame. But Surprisingly, the person who had posted the comment found a lot of support from people and they instead tried to insult Vishakha for being a 'feminazi' 'insecure' 'publicity hungry woman'.

These cases are regular but there are cases where actors had even to leave Twitter. Good Looking Imran Khan had to quit twitter when he was supposedly bashed by a Twitter user. Abhishek Bacchan rarely loses cool but recently he went out his anger on a Troll who posted a picture of his daughter making fun of his movies. Fortunately, the person took the tweet down after a while and the matter sorted. But there are trolls feeding within Celebrities. What better example could be than Kamaal Rashid Khan(KRK) now that dude had 1 Million Followers. All these things just make us wonder if Social Media is only about one side of a coin. It's just upto us how we deal it ? Right ?

5 reasons why 'Phantom' Trailer does not Impress us

Director Kabir Khan's directorial 'Phantom' is getting ready for release and the first official trailer was launched few days back with much fan-fare. The film has been in the news for sometime and there are some really high expectations attached to the film. Both Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif are making comebacks and the film plays crucial from their career's point of view. The trailer was released with much high expectations but somehow it has received mixed reactions. We personally found the trailer a little bland and we put up our top 5 reasons why doesn't the 'Phantom' Trailer Impress us.

1. Ek Tha Tiger - Agent Vinod Crossover - If you would look at the trailer. It tries really hard to be something refreshingly different but It doesn't. The trailer has the same feel you would have possibly felt for Ek Tha Tiger or Agent Vinod. Spy - Undercover - Terrorism. Seems like a Cocktail.

2. Saif Ali Khan : Action is not Saif's cup of tea and every time he tries it, he fails miserably. Agent Vinod was a classic example. Even in the trailer, he doesn't display that braveura that we could go out and play applause something that people like to do on Salman or Shahrukh's movies. Still It's our job to wish well for the actors and we do it for Saif too.

3. Katrina Kaif : Phulllzzzz, someone please tell us what's she doing...OK We get it our Indian heroines sucks at Action, There is no Milla Jovovich, Angelina Jolie or Scarlett Johannson who can swing bad guys into dump, they are good for belly and booty shakes so why to show Katrina in positions like this. It not only looks embarrassing but laughable, seriously an Item number would do more for her than the possibly silly action she is doing. We forgot to mention 'Ek Tha Tiger' perhaps this role is an extension to that. Ouch !

4. The Posters : The First Look : Not only they seem to be lifted from somewhere, They also look cheesy and Campy.

5. The last line in Trailer : The last line in the trailer that concludes 'A Story you wish would be true'. Well the trailer starts giving us a horrible glance of 26/11 attacks, A date, An incident we would ever wish likely to be true. So a fictionalized story about post the incidents trying just to cash in box office numbers may matter to the makers and people related with it. But seriously such stories do not have a base.

All in all, these are just opinions from our side, We would like to wish Phantom team all the best and wish it succeeds in its goal. What are your views on the trailer. you can let us know in the comments below.

5 reasons why 'Mera Naam Mary' is a Damp Squib!

Five Reasons why 'Mera Naam Mary' is a Damp Squib!

You might have heard the new song 'Mera Naam Mary' from movie 'Brothers' which is about to release next month. The makers of the movie just celebrated about the film getting 1 M Views wow! and now it has crossed 2 M Views Wow again ! But what remains unconvinced is the quality of the song being judged on the basis of millions of views through a website which is sometimes auto-generated. Ever heard of YouTube partnership? If you are a partner with YouTube, and of course, with a production house like Dharma Production associating with it, you can get any song charting on those millions of views. YouTube is a fair way to get your songs good attention in quick time, but what it can't give is long lasting success. And 'Mera Naam Mary' despite being a Million Bucks Song is nothing much of a 'damp squib' which neither delivers on the hearing level nor on the eyes. We bring five top reasons why 'Mera Naam Mary' isn't quite of a cherry.

1. Kareena Kapoor

Oh Kareena ! She is a wonderful actress, but what she can't do is performing on a good number. Dancing is 'NOT' your cup of tea honey. You might got the acting chops but you are a big bore in the 'item numbers' department. Apart from dancing, she lacks a certain zeal/oomph that brings the attraction. There are certain things one can do and they should stick to those. Trying hard on something which you aren't capable of doesn't make you cool at all. This Bebo can't impress whether she turns into 'dry fevicol' or a 'Hopeless Mary'.

2. Uninspiring Music : Seriously after so much of promotions, we at-least expected the number to be a little better. After going through the song, it felt so dull and so outdated that we couldn't even care to check out who sang, written or composed it. Still for the record Amitabh Bhattacharya is the lyricist, Chinmayi Sripada sang it and its composed by Ajay-Atul ! There is hardly any high moment in the song you would care for. Go for it, if you can't find a better soundtrack.

3. Uninterested Sidharth Malhotra : The Expressions oops! hardly any expressions on Sidharth's face in the song itself tells how much he is interested. We don't blame him though. He needed someone like a Katrina, Malaika, Raveena, Urmila or may be a Sunny Leone that could turn him on.

4. The Setting : The setting looks so usual and similar, In times where we need to welcome new ideas, our makers are still going through the tried and tested formulas. A little creativity won't hurt. Isn't it?

5. Million Views : The millions of views on YouTube do not convince about the song's epicness. And we would request our dear makers to bring the charts and love of the people through the song next time and post it online for a valuable proof.

These points according to us made this song a letdown for us. But we also agree that there must have been many who have been enjoying this song all the way. So after our conclusion, we give it out to our readers if 'Mera Naam Mary' has become your favourite chartbuster of the year.
